Waste Management Training in project communities
A waste management training program in Chong-Kemin and Ysyk-Kol introduced sustainable practices in ecotourism by educating participants on waste sorting, reduction strategies, and recycling implementation.
The training covered the importance of separating plastic, glass, paper, and organic waste, along with hands-on activities for setting up sorting stations at tourism facilities.
In Chong-Kemin as an initial step in establishing a recycling system, 10 plastic bottle collection bins were installed in key locations to encourage responsible waste disposal.
Local communities and residents were engaged in the initiative, fostering long-term environmental responsibility and strengthening sustainable tourism efforts in the region.
